Exeter Drama Company

Appeal

courtesy of Kidica

We are the Exeter Drama Company, an amateur group, and we’ve been in existence since 1954. We normally present four productions a year - in March, June, September and December but occasionally bung in something extra! Our home for 49 years was an old church hall immediately behind St Marys Steps Church, Stepcote Hill in the old west quarter of Exeter, near The House That Moved. Time and the elements conspired against us, and we had to leave, and we are now in temporary premises in an annexe next to the Village Hall in Alphington. The search for a permanent home is underway. Our dream is to raise enough money to buy our own theatre ...

To that end we’re launching an appeal to raise funds. We need a fighting fund in order to move on - we need new premises, rented or to buy, to keep this long established group together. Donations are coming in with every post (keep an eye on the thermometer) but more is always needed.

If you can help in any way please forward a cheque (payable to Exeter Drama Company) to: The Publicity Officer, 134 Cowick Lane, St Thomas, Exeter, EX2 9HE or you can donate via the paypal button below.

We are adamant that, come what may, we will continue so we’re still welcoming anyone who would like to come and see a play, or who would like to become involved in acting or behind the scenes work, see our join us page.

Please donate now and keep the curtain up!!!
